Highly recommend this outstanding B&B. Wonderful hosts, relaxed and comfortable accommodation (with comfy bed), exceptional breakfasts and in a good location for touring the Cotswolds.

Lowerfield Farm certainly did not disappoint. Sue and Gareth welcomed us warmly into their lovely home and could not have been more helpful. Our room was delightful - spacious, bright and spotlessly clean and we slept very well in the comfortable bed. We looked forward to the delicious and varied superbly cooked breakfasts which included many home produced items. The location of Lowerfield is excellent, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside and it’s proximity to the pretty villages of Willersey and Broadway make it an ideal base for discovering the Cotswolds. We took bikes with us, which we were able to store safely in one of the barns. I’m sure we’ll be returning to Lowerfield before too long to enjoy Sue and Gareth’s hospitality and to revisit this lovely area.

If you are looking for an accommodation where you can relax and unwind, then Lowerfield Farm is a great choice. We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary, we should have booked for longer. Sue and Gareth made us welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was stayed in was spacious and there was always fresh milk available to have a cup of tea after returning for trips out during the day.Over the years we have stayed in a number of B&Bs,Lowerfield Farm has been the best by far. This includes the breakfast we had each morning, We were able to simple Sue’s home made jams and marmalade, in addition to the sausages from the Farm.We will be returning soon in the coming year.

We had a fantastic time at Lowerfield farm, Sue and Gareth are very friendly, lovely hosts, the food is amazing - I recommend the full English breakfast but they alsodo a range of veggie and vegan options. The room we stayed in - King Combe featured a massive superking bed, amazing views and a bath tub which was fantastic. The grounds are lovely and the location is perfect for exploring nearby Broadway and other towns such as Stow and Bourton. We are already planning our return! Highly recommended.

This beautiful farmhouse in a perfectly situated area of the Cotswolds was our first B&B stay since the onset of the pandemic. Thanks to Gareth and Sue's intelligent and thorough preparations we didn't need to have any anxieties. The safety measures taken were exemplary in every respect. For the entire 7 day stay we felt at home, and relaxed. Praise also goes to our fellow guests that week. Uniform adherence to Gareth and Sue's meticulous and guest-friendly anti-COVID regime. A wonderfully appointed room with a tranquil and rural outlook in every direction. And what a fantastic breakfast (as always!). Extraordinary menu to select from, superbly prepared (often from home produce), and served with their wonderful (though face-masked!!) natural friendliness and conversational flair. Thanks to terrific weather the week we were in Lowerfield my wife and I took advantage nearly every evening of the large, gorgeous picnicking garden area of the house. So peaceful, so saturated in evening Gloucestershire sunshine. A first-rate Cotswold Guesthouse, inside and outside!

After months of shielding from Covid-19 we decided to treat ourselves to a few nights in the Cotswolds .We chose Lowerfield Farm as they offered charging for our electric car but soon discovered that Gareth and Sue Atkinson are exceptional hosts .They pay attention to every detail for the Covid safety of guests, serve a delicious breakfast and offered to heat up our ready meals in the evening .They understood that being part of the vulnerable group we would be cautious about busy pubs and restaurants . We will have no hesitation in coming back but be warned book as soon as possible they are very popular !

Apologies- long overdueWe may have been the last guests before the world closed in, but we were so fortunate to have 3 nights in this great B and B. Nothing too much trouble for Sue and Gareth, no rushing over breakfast and some lovely conversations. Despite the fact they must have been worried about the impact on their business, they displayed their usual high standards. And the drinks license meant we could sample the local beer without even going to the pub!Good luck to you and your family

It was easy to pop into town for a meal and it was straightforward to get to Hidcote Manor Gardens only six miles away. We stayed in the ground floor twin room which was perfect with its comfy beds, ensuite, armchairs and TV/DVD. Gareth and Sue are perfect hosts and it is such a home from home that I can honestly say we now see them as friends. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the breakfast is wonderful (with a vast choice) and you really need for nothing as they cater for pretty much anything you will need.It is ideally situated for the Cotswold "attractions" and there are eating places located just a short drive away (or long walk if you feel up to it!)We will definitely be visiting again and look forward to our next stay.If you only stop at one place during your visit to the Cotswolds make sure it is Lowerfield!

We count ourselves fortunate that, of the many B&Bs we researched on the internet for our short trip to the Cotswolds, we settled on Lowerfield Farm. Our stay there was sublime. Never before at a B&B have we encountered a well-stocked chilled drinks bar and a separate fridge/freezer for guests - and to be offered hot milk for morning coffee was a previously unheard of luxury. To go on about the beautiful house, tasteful decor, picturesque setting, spacious comfortable room and excellent breakfast would be gilding the lily. However, we're reluctant to mention this on line because we're sure that next time we try to book, all the rooms will be taken. So let's keep this little Shangri-La to ourselves, OK?

From the moment we arrived we were given the very best of service starting with a tour of the facilities available to the guests. The owners have thought of just about everything to make your stay truly special. The farmhouse is beautiful inside and out and guests have the use of thier own private lounge and an extensive DVD collection. The breakfasts are plentiful and cooked to perfection. We stayed in the characterful milkup room with the four poster bed, which was cozy, inviting and had every facility you need. Unfortunately we found the mattress a little too soft for our liking and it did affect our sleep but that is the only criticism we have and it wouldn't stop us staying at lowerfield farm again. Willersey is a charming cotswold village, unspoilt by tourism but with all the cotswold favourites on the doorstep. We would certainly recommend lowerfield farm if you are looking for a peaceful rural escape.

We stayed at Lowerfield in November for a few days break, sight seeing and visiting family. The minute we walked through the door we knew we'd made a good choice. We had a warm welcome by the owner and there was a log fire burning in the grate. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with every convienience. The view that greeted us in the morning was beautiful, we were truely relaxed. The breakfasts made the whole experience complete, with luxury touches like walnuts from a tree on the farm and warm apples with cinnamon, plus all the other cooked delights. Our hosts were attentive and welcoming and showed exceptional attention to detail in providing minor extras to the usual bed & breakfast facilities. There was a wide range of choices on the breakfast menu with an emphasis on local produce.Location combined an idyllic rural outlook with historic buildings and very easy road access to Willersey and a short drive to the extensive amenities of Broadway.Comfort combined with convenience.

This bed and breakfast was delightful in every way. There is nothing we could think of to improve it. The room was lovely and very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious with the right combination of what you get for yourself and what is brought to you. The breakfast room was beautiful with classical music playing lightly in the background. The owners were charming and very friendly, welcoming and easy going. Very very nice and totally recommend it. We hope to visit again one day.

Stayed for four nights with my parents and aunt. Very accommodating to the point where Sue changed my aunt's bed from a single to a double after my aunt commented she slept better in a double bed. Breakfasts excellent best sausages for some time. Relaxing large lounge area for all to use. Extremely useful advise on things to do to make our stay even more beneficial. Sue and Gareth could not do more to make your stay an enjoyable experience, thank you.

We were here for two nights and easily able to access Broadway, Chipping Campden, Stratford, and other nearby towns, for delights such as sightseeing, walks and theatre. The room was spacious and newly refurbished, with lovely views and Sue and Gareth are wonderful, really warm and ready to help with requests. The breakfast is just stupendous. Our teen daughters did not want to leave when it came time to do so.

Lovely location and accommodation ideal for me and my 87 year old mother who has limited mobility. Our room on ground floor so perfect. Breakfasts were truly wonderful. We would both thoroughly recommend Lowerfield and intend to return soon . Many thanks to you both.

We felt so sad to leave Lowerfield Farm. We were for a three weeks stay in the Cotswolds and our week in this B&B was by far the best we had. Every evening was as coming home. The area is so peaceful!! Beautiful room (Dark Coppice), great breakfast (as a feast!), ideal stay to explore the Cotswolds. A place to come back. Sue and Gareth are amazing hosts, Always very helpful, always with a big smile. Thank you for giving us a relaxing week. Anna and Daniel from Belgium

Most attractive property, with all our needs thought of and furnished. With my current limpiness I should have requested a ground floor room with hopefully a less risky shower!Water, soap and steps not a good combination. Was also concerned about theunobvious tripping step just inside the front door andsimilarly into the dining room.As I know, frommy bruised knees, these are a hazard.Don't worry litigation is not our bag.Otherwise an extremely comfortable stay.Thank you.

We have stayed at a few over the years but nothing to beat Lowerfield for warmth of the welcome, the comfort of the accommodation and the excellence of the breakfasts. Five Days gave mechance to work my way through your comprehensive menu.In future wherever we stay will be rated on the' Lowerfield Scale'. We found it the ideal base to explore the beautiful Cotswolds, and enjoyed evening meals at the nearby places you recommended.

The house has such a homely feel and both Gareth and Sue are so welcoming and friendly. We can't wait to return and feel sure anyone who has the pleasure of staying here will feel the same. The little touches like the driving route plan and box of toiletries on the hallway in case you have forgotten anything is not only useful but very thoughtful. The farm is perfectly placed for exploring all of the Cotswolds. We will return!

My husband, 16 year old daughter and I spent Christmas (2104) at Lowerfield Farm with Sue and Gareth. We wanted somewhere really special for our Christmas in the UK and Lowerfield Farm certainly filfilled my wishes. We shared a large and beautifully appointed family room; enjoyed sumptuous breakfasts; relished wonderful Christmas treats (afternoon tea and Christmas dinner) and took advantage of the interesting tourist suggestions prepared by Sue - a lovely drive through the area with clear instructions, attended the hunt at Broadway and the carols at Gloucester Cathedral (all of which we wouldn't have know about without Sue's information). Such attention to detail is a feature of this B&B and I cannot recommend it highly enough. In a lovely part of the Cotswolds, central for exploration of this lovey area. Thankyou Sue and Gareth.

Lowerfield Farm is everything that we had hoped for - a quiet location but within easy reach of good places to eat. It was very easy to find our way there and Gareth and Sue went out of their way to make us welcome to their lovely home. Our room was wonderfully spacious with dual aspect windows over the countryside, a spacious en-suite shower room and extremely comfortable 6 foot bed. Our breakfasts were very good with different fresh fruits eachday and an original and tasty choice of cooked meals with delicious homemade bread. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and we will certainly return to Lowerfield.

Our room was comfortable and had an impressive range of tea, coffee etc available. The breakfasts were enjoyed by us all; we sat together and the food and service were good. The lounge meant we could easily spend time as a group, and there was useful information available from the guests' feedback book, and also our hosts, on places to eat and sightsee. WE would certainly like to visit again!

Everyday was spectacular and made even more memorable by having lovely hosts who took very good care of us.Having a delicious breakfast with soft classical music playing in the background set a perfect tone for each day.The homemade bread is amazing! We hope to visit the Cotswolds again as there is yet so much to see and will definitely be returning to LOWERFIELD as our base camp.As we packed up to leave we felt we were leaving a home away from home- just how a perfect bed and breakfast establishment should make you feel.

We are a family of four and spent about a week in the lowerfieldfarm in august. On arrive we had a very warm welcome from Sue, the lady of the house. She and her husband, Gareth, are really wonderful people and made our stay a marvelous experience. The house is ideal located on a quiet road in the Cotswolds, near to nice villages as Broadway, Chipping Campden and beautiful gardens as hidcote gardens. From this location you can explore the best of the Cotswolds.Every morning we had the choice between five different types of breakfast every time deliciously prepared. We had a nice furnished room with a magnificent view on the Cotswolds. The room was cleaned every day and had all the comfort of a room in a five star hotel. In the evening there is a lovely living room which we could use to read a Book or watch TV.Sue and Gareth were very helpful during our stay and gave us all the information to visit the Cotswolds. They received already many rewards but they really deserve all of them. It came with a very spacious bathroom with shower and bathtub. The breakfast was amazing. It was abundant and with a wide range of choices. There is a laptop available if you need internet for free. The setting was beautiful and the warmth of hospitality we received from Gareth & Sue was second to none!! Nothing was too much trouble and it really was just like home from home!!! The thing we liked was that there was no pressure to go out as soon as breakfast was over like in some B&Bs. We were able to sit in the garden or use the lounge whenever we liked. The breakfasts were amazing using fresh produce from the farm & the home made bread was wonderful. I'm so pleased we found the website for this lovely Cotswold "gem" and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful, relaxing break in easy reach of beautiful Cotswold villages.

We stayed in new room and it was very comfortable and well equiped. Our refreshment tray was complimented with yummy home made cake every day, and the cooked to order breakfasts were delicious.During our stay Sue and Gareth made us very welcome, offering advice on things to do or where to dine. We would highly recommend Lowerfield Farm to anyone.

Nothing is too much trouble for them and we enjoyed our three day stay even allowing for dreadfull weather. Why stay anywhere else?

Our group felt most comfortable at Lowerfield Farm. The welcome was warm and personal, the rooms spotless, with beautiful views over fields to the hills, the breakfasts offered a wide choice of foods and were excellent. On top of everything there were the cakes and muffins that awaited us in the room when we return from a day of sightseeing. Thanks very much to our gracious hosts!

From the moment I was welcomed at the door by both Sue's warmth and the warmth of the gorgeous farmhouse to the moment I was helped to my car with my bag by Gareth I felt as though I had been looked after both unobtrusively and whole heartedly.I hope to return soon as both my stay with a daily cake in my room ( How did you know I love cake Sue?)and my travelling around the glorious Cotswolds has only made me want more. The breakfasts are delicious and I suggest guests take a hearty appetite as you just have to try the various selections available(even for me a s a vegetarian - I was spoilt for choice).Thank you both so very much for your gracious hospitality.

Experience has taught us that throughout the world there are three reasons why one would definitely want to return to a place where one has passed before:1. The landscape / monument / attraction or whatever the "object" is you were after in the first place. No doubt the Cotswolds make people want to come back.2. The value you get for the money you sacrifice, i.e. the "deal" everyone seems to enjoy so much. No doubt Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson offer you very good value for money: a nice house with historic elements elegantly integrated into the building, a high service level (coping very well right after the extension), and a really marvelous breakfast.3. The people you come to know as your hosts. No question Sue and Gareth are hosts "pure sang": they open their home with smile and from the moment you walk in, you know that they will care for you, just like mom and dad would. What more do you need?Christine & Bart

An enjoyable and relaxing 4-night stay in first rate accommodation and high specification room. So many kindnesses and consideration extended and the attention to detail was exceptional. Superb breakfasts with a variation of choices to cater for all needs. The large and comfortable lounge was also a welcome facility which included computer access, dvd, book loans and board games. The 'honesty bar' was also clearly appreciated by residents. The location is so convenient to many Cotswolds attraction including a choice of places to eat in the evenings. Most important of all is the care and consideration extended by Gareth and Sue - we were made most welcome and requests were responded to positively - we will most certainly return to Lower Field Farm again.

My husband and I stayed at Lowerfield Farm for 3 nights with our two fairly adult children in early March 2012 and we truly enjoyed our time there. Gareth and Sue are efficient hosts and they're also really nice people. They gave good recommendations on where to go and Gareth provides a print-out of a driving tour of nearby villages you can visit.Sue cooks awesome breakfasts and the icing on the cake is she has 5-6 breakfast options on her menu (full English breafast or pancakes with bananas and cream/bacon/butter & maple syrup, or bagel with smoked salmon - to name a few) and all of the breaskfasts we had were delicious and thoughtfully presented. My son and daughter found it difficult to decide which breakfast they wanted each morning! The rooms were lovely and cosy with comfortable beds and we also had coffee, hot chocolate and tea-making facilities with biscuits provided as well. The ensuite bathrooms provided shower gel, shampoo, and even cotton buds. The farm itself was fun to walk around in - friendly chickens, plus pigs, goats and sheep to gaze at.Location-wise, the farm is close and within driving distance to decent restaurants. In all, we have no regrets about picking Lowerfield Farm.

We stayed at Lowerfield Farm this weekend- Friday until today, Sunday. We stayed in the 'Milkup' Four Poster bedroom. Every aspect of our stay was excellent. We have stayed in a few B&Bs over the years and in several, however nice their interior, we haven't quite felt 'at home'. Here it was quite the opposite- the hosts made us feel very relaxed and welcome. Homemade cake in the room on arrival, the selection of DVDs in the lounge made available to watch in the rooms, the honesty bar and of course the varied, tasty breakfast provided all helped to make this a memorable stay. They also gave us a suggested step by step driving route of the local area which we followed and was a great way of seeing some of the pretty villages around. Great value for money.Would certainly return!

Set in the beautiful Cotswolds, this B&B is definitely worth a visit! The rooms are lovely, and there are many little extras such as biscuits and hot chocolate provided which gave it a special touch. Our room was in the original part of the farm house. It was a very old room and some of the floors on quite a slant but that didn't bother us (it was actually quite a novelty!). The farm is lovely, and you are welcome to go and visit the farm animals if you like. We ventured up to Warwick Castle and Stratford-Upon-Avon from here and it was only a short and very pleasant drive. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and there is a mini-bar in the common area if you would like to purchase snacks or drinks. Highly recommended stay.

Where does one begin to describe this unforgettable breakfast experience? The friendliness of service, the variety of choice, the quality of the meat, the delicacy of the spices on the mushrooms, the creamy superiority of the fresh duck eggs, the sweet sharpness of the home-made quince jam, and the exaltation to the palate that is the home-baked bread, which makes the most exquisite toast! And the room was very nice too...
